Initiated in 2016 by Marin Alsop, the Conducting class provides an intensive-training environment for young students who wish to perfect their craft. The students take lessons with conductor and trombonist Wagner Polistchuk, participate in masterclasses with renowned international conductors, shadow Osesp's rehearsals and concerts, and receive aural training lessons.

Classes are organised into modules and include working with piano accompaniment, chamber music groups, and an orchestra, for the final recital. The students can also make use of the study rooms, access the media library, and are given textbooks and supplementary material to help them master their repertoire.
