Discover the Orchestra is a music education programme devoted to teachers and students from the public school system of the State of São Paulo. Started in 2001, the programme offers free training courses and pedagogic events to teachers and students to introduce them to the world of symphonic and choral music.

Comprising different independent activities, the programme offers courses for teachers with or without previous musical knowledge, combining in-person activities and remote learning. Teachers learn the basics and fundamental concepts of music and encounter a varied cultural repertoire that can help them create music-related classroom activities and supervise interdisciplinary projects. The teachers can also bring their students for a visit to Sala São Paulo, where they attend lecture-concerts and play music games.

All courses are certified by the School for the Training and Improvement of Education Professionals (EFAPE) of the State of São Paulo.
