The Music Criticism class is designed for young people interested in writing about concert music, and places special emphasis on music criticism. The students are encouraged to listen to, think, and write critically about diverse aspects of classical music.

The course offers a set of modules that approach the practice of musical criticism from different perspectives, such as an Introduction to Critical Thinking, Music Text Workshop, Music History, Aesthetics, Aural Training (with an emphasis on melody and rhythm), and Orchestra Shadowing.
